Jin Hong

Jin Hong is Executive Director and CEO of Ligent Technologies, Inc., the optical communications company spun off from the Hisense Group, and a senior executive at Hisense Broadband (HBMT). He holds a B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China and a Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo. He previously served as VP of Intel’s Data Center Group and GM of R&D for its Silicon Photonics Product Division, and held senior roles at Ciena, Oplink, Opnext, EMCORE and NeoPhotonics. He is an IEEE Senior Member and was elected an Optica Fellow in 2024. Ligent listed on the HKEX Main Board on 22 September 2026 (ticker 09856.HK).
