Xu Ziyang

Xu Ziyang is executive director and president of ZTE Corporation. Born in 1972 and a 1994 graduate of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, he joined ZTE in 1998 as a programmer in the Nanjing R&D centre and went on to lead core-network product lines and overseas markets, chairing ZTE Microelectronics from 2018. He became president in July 2018 and has driven ZTE's 'computing-and-network' strategy spanning AI servers, self-developed chips and data-centre networking.
