Liu Peichao

Liu Peichao, born in 1986, founded Dobot (Shenzhen Yuejiang Technology) in 2015 after completing a bachelor's and master's in mechanical engineering at Shandong University; he later earned an engineering doctorate at Tsinghua University. Dobot shipped the world's first desktop lightweight robot arm and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in December 2024, becoming China's first listed collaborative robot company. Cumulative shipments have passed 100,000 units, and in 2026 the company demonstrated its Atom humanoid robot running on its in-house Dobot-VLA vision-language-action model.
